Slime Chopper

Ken Ogawa facing one of many Slime Choppers in the game.

The Slime Chopper is one of the many bosses in Ninja Blade. It's first appearance is in Mission 2, almost immediately after defeating Scolex Worm. Two Slime Choppers appear in Mission 4 and depending on which path you took, also in Mission 9.

The first encounter begins immediately after the death of the first Scolex Worm. Ken must chase the Slime Chopper, while it fires rockets towards him from a safe distance. These rockets don’t do much damage, but can knock Ken out of wall running and are fired frequently. When Ken reaches the Slime Chopper, it will fly around the corner to another building with several enemies that Ken must kill. When all of them are dead, the chase continues through a building, with several other enemies also fire rockets. To damage the Slime Chopper, Ken must deflect the rockets back towards it. Once this is done, the Slime Chopper will fly to another building, where another rocket can be deflected towards it.The battle truly begins on this building.

The Slime Chopper will fly around the arena and constantly fire bullets, fireballs, or more rockets toward Ken, and occasionally landing on the ground, where it is vulnerable. The fireballs leave a flaming area where they land for a few seconds and are fired all over the arena, the bullets are fired in a continuous stream, and the rockets can still be deflected. At half health and upon death, a cutscene will play, where the Slime Chopper falls to the ground. At half health, this leaves the Chopper vulnerable for several seconds. Upon death, this triggers a quick-time event where Ken stabs the Slime Chopper several times, dodging the tentacles, before riding and redirecting one of its rockets towards it, destroying the creature.

The Slime Choppers also make an appearance in Mission 4, as an enemy.

The Slime Chopper is a strange creature. The main body is that of a helicopter, with several tentacles that resemble the underside of snails and slugs poking out of it. The most notable biological feature, though, is the large amorphous mass that juts from the windshield. The mass is lumpy, and resembles a brain. From the bottom of the helicopter, right beneath the mass, is a strange appendage that resembles the body of a leech, with a what appears to be a mouth on the end. This seems to be where it fires projectiles from. Behind this appendage, is a large fleshy mass that hangs down form under the Chopper.
